Medicare covers anesthesia you get while in an inpatient hospital.
CoPayment: The amount you need to pay.
You pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for the anesthesia services provided by a doctor or certified registered nurse anesthetist. The Part B deductible applies. The anesthesia service must be associated with the underlying medical or surgical service, and you may have to pay an additional copayment to the facility.
