Comfort Zone Homecare works with both Personal Attendants and Potential Clients to find a good fit for both. We are a little different from other Homecare Services, as we do not have set rates. When a potential client calls us they know exactly what they need and we listen carefully. When a Personal Attendant asks us to find them a good fit, they first complete a profile covering all their past experience (we ask for at least 2 years). They then will answer a number of questions, telling us about their personal likes and dislikes, what hobbies or interests they have and also mentioning anything they prefer not do. After checking references and background checks they are added to our network and ready to be referred to a family. We hand pick one referral at a time and to begin we suggest a “meet and greet” - when a Personal Attendant arranges to meet the family without commitment. If it seems like a good fit, Comfort Zone Homecare will add a small fee covering workers compensation, general liability, payroll, and billing to manage the client account. Our rates are not written in stone and therefore can be negotiable. Just give us a call, we are very easy to work with and there are no binding contracts. We have a 24/7 telephone number which is toll free 1-(844)-227-4642 and you will speak with a real person. We cover all of Southern California. Looking forward to being able to help you.
Companions for loved-ones in Assisted Living or Residential Care settings:
So you have had concerns for a while that a loved-one is not safe to live at home alone, and have come to the conclusion that an Assisted Living Community or other type of Residential Senior Care is appropriate, but your loved one is resistant.
It is understandable from their point of view if they have lived in their home and independently for many years, they do not see the reason to leave. As lovely as many of the Senior Communities are, sometimes we hear complaints from Residents that they are not in control of their life anymore. You might suggest that a visit from a friendly Companion for a few hours a week would be fun. Maybe to a supermarket, or stop for tea, maybe just a drive around, but the important thing is always to let your loved one know they are still in charge of their life and they will make all decisions as to where the Companion will take them. It is hard to have a change of life style at an older age, but if they can accept a friendly visit once or twice a week, it could make a difference.
