Raised Toilet Seat with Arms and Lock
Attaches easily to most commodes without tools. Clamp-on locking mechanism tightens easily with one hand. Comfortable, contoured seat made of easy-to-clean, durable, molded plastic. Raises existing seat 5"; allows internal rotation of hips. Non-skid pads prevent seat from slipping. Rear seat wings for more secure attachment. Deep front recess for hygiene.
One of the biggest problems for those who are weak and frail is difficulty getting on and off commode seats due because of their low position. This simple device solves the problem by raising the height to a comfortable level with less intrusion then that of framed commode chairs. The model with arms provides additional help getting on and off commode by having arms to hold on to while lowering to seat and having these same arms to help push off the seat when getting up. Also consider investing in a shower or tub seat or bench for the same bathroom safety reasons and to allow more independence.
