Caring for an aging or disabled person can be a rewarding experience. Right At Home is currently looking for reliable, caring, and compassionate caregivers who are sincerely interested in improving the quality of life for those we serve.
The ideal candidate should have experience as a caregiver, strong communication skills, problem solving ability, and organizational skills. Responsibilities may include light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping and running errands, community and in-home recreational activities, assist in hobbies and companionship. Personal care responsibilities might include assistance with showers, incontinence care, ambulation assistance, assistance with exercise routine and any other activities of dailiy living, A Right at Home caregiver primarily works in the client’s place of residence. Travel is required. Shift times, days and activities vary with client needs.
Job Requirements:
*Must have a caring attitude toward the health and safety of our clients, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
*Must have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation.
*Must have successfully completed a written competency evaluation, background screening and DMV screening.
*Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
*High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
*Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
*Must have a valid/current HHA Certificate or CNA License, including Level 2 Background screening, TB screening, Hepatitis B Vaccine or declination, CPR training and alll the requirements for the Florida State Licensing Laws.
