About This Company:

How We Can Help…

At FirstLight Home Care of Boston Northwest, we have over 25 years of home care experience managing our local office.

Below is a snapshot of what we do here at FirstLight Home Care and some additional insight of the services that we are very proud to offer.

About FirstLight Home Care of Boston Northwest:

  • We are a Non-Medical Home Care provider that currently accepts Private Pay and Long-term care insurance.
  • We service those in need of assistance who are age 18 and up
  • We provide a free in-home assessment to those interested in our services
  • We create an individualized plan of care with each client based on their individual needs
  • We offer shifts as short as 2 hours, with a rate adjustment for 4+ hr shifts
  • Once a referral becomes a client, we provide a face-to-face introduction of our caregiver to the client/family so they are always aware of who is coming to their home
  • A member of our leadership team is available 24/7
  • All of our caregivers are direct employees of FirstLight, not independent contractors, and have passed a thorough background screening and drug screening
  • All of our caregivers have access to ongoing training to keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date.

Services we offer:

  • Assistance with personal hygiene care such as bathing (shower or bed bath), oral hygiene, grooming and dressing
  • Medication reminders
  • Light homemaking to maintain a safe and clean environment for the client such as dishes, laundry, linen changes, sweeping and vacuuming
  • Meal prep and grocery shopping to assist the client in maintaining adequate nutrition
  • Companionship for general socialization; caregivers often play games or cards, go on walks, make meals together, or simply provide friendly conversations
  • Transportation to appointments can also be included in any of the above services
  • Respite care – relief provided to a spouse or primary caregiver that typically provides care to the client.
